Pic’s 1-3 show the old woodrotted post that was holding up the roof above.  Termites had come up thru the seam.
 
 

Pic 4 shows the mortarmix applied to the seam which will deflect the termites, but not stop the expansion of the concrete

Pic 5 shows the new poly mount that will be ‘TapCon’ screwed to the concrete (poly will not rot or rust).   Then we apply a Geocel Tri-Polymer solution which is similar to Aircraft Glue..but thick like heavy syrup….which ‘seals’ the woodt from moisture coming up thru the bottom ‘fresh-cuts’ of the board.
